Anne Marie Hospod, B.Sc., M.D., is the founder and CEO of The Health Club.
She is a modern health care professional and passionate medical thought leader who advocates for chronic disease self-management, preventive medicine, and healthy active living. She holds a combined undergraduate degree in Physiology and the History of Medicine from McGill University (Montreal, Canada), a Life Sciences degree from La Sorbonne University (Paris, France), as well as a Medical degree from the Jagiellonian University Collegium Medicum (Krakow, Poland).
Dr. Hospod has worked directly with the Public Health Agency of Canada, expert members of the Canadian Obesity Network, as well as numerous Canadian Healthy Active Living advocates. She has developed and presented innovative and comprehensive content to health care professionals regarding childhood obesity interventions, has served as a healthy active living expert facilitator for the Ontario Physical and Health Education Association, and has worked for the national physical activity non-profit ParticipACTION.
Her expertise lies in healthy active living, behavior change, and chronic disease prevention and management.
Dr. Hospod is a member of the Canadian Obesity Network and a thought leader in the Type 1 Diabetes landscape. As a Type 1 Ironman athlete, she has also been chosen as a Diabetes Sports Project Champion.
